  1. A whole lotta good points made in this one. Also, Mordecai the Bluejay flying into Bruce Willis. Lol.

  2. The fact that he had to use that gun never made any sense to me. Good review!

  3. You didn't mention how they just shot his wife in the future. Even though they can't kill people in the future..

  4. Maybe it's inconsistent because it's a big budget movie and a lot of the little details in the script were lost. If I had to explain why they make people kill themselves in the past, Suicide is legal, and the government in the future is fucked so there haven't been any laws created to deal with this obvious loophole.

This video is funny but time travel logic is pretty much always subjective and generally stupid, its almost always designed to make people feel smart without actually making any fucking sense.

  6. Arguably I'm late here (since I just discovered your reviews) but one thing that could be added to the ending in inconsistency: According to the movie the future is bad, and infact looping only exists because of that kid. He's the kingpin of the entire operation. And he only is the kingpin of that entire operation according to the protagonist's logic, because the protagonist's future self killed the kid's mother. Which, he never did in the previous time line where the protagonist successfully killed his looper upon arrival. So at that very moment, the entire time line should have reset, since the kid's mother would never be shot by the the protagonist's (now dead) future self. Thus Looping doesn't exist, thus the protagonist never shot his older self, thus the kid's mother was never in any danger, thus looping will never become a thing. Which makes no sense... Unless, the protagonist was an idiot, and infact the kid will become The Rainmaker no matter what, and the protagonist just killed himself for no reason, stopping his future self from killing the Rainmaker. Of course, if he did kill the rainmaker, the looping would never have happened also, and he would never have gone back in time to kill the Rainmaker. We could also assume that it was probably not very easy for the Rainmaker to establish a system of atleast one illegal TIME MACHINE which they probably don't sell at Apple stores, so it's unlikely that the young protagonist will ever get a chance to hijack a time machine and go back anyway to kill the kid in the next loop of the time line, thus establishing a "stable" loop where the Rainmaker and the horrible future doesn't happen.

  7. You act like you know how time travel would work. You don't. No one does. There are a million ways to explain the body parts going missing. Sorry, disagree with this review completely. I didn't like the film that much btw.

  8. An interesting thought that entered my head is that a paradox is 1-1+1-1+1-1+1...

1 being you can and 0 being you can't, the answer would be 0.5 so that could be maybe you could? So all paradoxes are 0.5 in a sense, and so the two events exist at the same time and contradict themselves or both are equal possibilities‽ So you can't modify history you interacted in with, no matter how minor‽ Oww all this time travel is hurting my brain...

  9. Think about that. If they killed younger one; older one wouldn't be alive to kill for mob. or if they crippled young one, old one wouldn't kill anyone. All deads will be alive? Time travel fucked up with every centimeter of it.

  10. I always thought the Bruce Willis without the bag on his head was a rift in the time loop. like an alternate timeline

  19. I really want to like YMS videos, they make a lot of good points, but the narrator sounds like a whinny, high pitched, metrosexual train wreck of a person. His(hers? its? whatever's) voice is just grating. Sorry YMS, but there is no way I can set through 20 minutes of narration by someone that sounds like the skinny jeans wearing, short bearded, glasses toting version of fingers on a chalkboard.
Maybe someone should send him 30 years into the past, that way he can hit puberty with the rest of his peers and figure out what nasal spray is.
Anyway, good luck with the videos, it's just not my cup of tea.
