YMS: Must-See Documentaries

  1. Documentaries worth watching:
    Zeitgeist: Addendum
    Future by Design

    1. As an economics major I'm going to have to point out that the Zeitgeist films are all hilariously misconstruing how the economic system works, I really wish people wouldn't take it seriously in that regard.

  2. Especially considering that this video only promotes the viewing of these films, i really don't understand why they'd care about the copyright in this case.

  3. This is a nice list, here are other nice documentaries, i would recommend watching:
McLibel is the story of two ordinary people who humiliated McDonald's in the biggest corporate PR disaster in history.
    >Why We Fight
Is American foreign policy dominated by the idea of military supremacy? Has the military become too important in American life? Jarecki's shrewd and intelligent polemic would seem to give an affirmative answer to each of these questions.
    >Who Killed the Electric Car?
A documentary that investigates the birth and death of the electric car, as well as the role of renewable energy and sustainable living in the future.
A documentary comparing the highly profitable American health care industry to other nations, and HMO horror stories.
    >Orwell Rolls in His Grave
A documentary analyzing the role of the modern American media and its effects on democracy.

  4. I reccomend Blackfish, it was a really interesting documentary, quite well made and really made me think about how really fucked up seaworld was. It took it from a childhood institution to pretty much something i have no idea about now

  5. The Yes Men Save the World
