  7. Good list, some really interesting films, definitely gonna check out weekend.

However I do feel that the indie coming of age story about a young man in a complicated relationship with a contemporary sound track has been completely played out (submarine/every wes anderson movie)and ive heard mixed reviews of the tree of life.
I fucking love midnight in paris, mainly because if I could go back to any period in time it would be the 20s in pairs.

I found Shame really fucking boring tbh, the main reason I watched it was to see Michael Fassbenders penis, and I guess in that sense it was worth watching. But seriously, what sort of accents are they meant to be doing? Fassbenders accent if all over the place some weird scottish/english/american/???? hybrid.

  8. My backorder just got 15 movies longer! That was a great list, and judging by your other video posts I imagine it took you a long time to put it together so you've got my respect for that. It's a shame that you're not as well recognized as some of the other movie reviewers/critics, I'd rather see this!

  9. Its funny, as you went through the list I was making some tortillas at the same time, usually 1 after you announced every movie.

  10. Working my way up, just watched Submarine and it was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. really enjoy/appreciate your taste

  12. GREAT list, I love that you included Almodovar and Shame, but also gave me a lot of new movies to watch. :3

  13. 9:20 that scene in "The girl with the dragon tattoo" where someone tries to steal her bag is completely different in the original. She gets beat the fuck up by 3 guys, but the 3 guys finally back off because she starts screaming like a crazy bitch.

  14. I really appreciate how much time you put into your videos, they're definitely worth my 20 minutes and I hope making them is worth your countless hours :)

  16. Randomly stumbled on this list, was intrigued by "Sound Of Noise," watched it for free on Amazon Prime, and it was the best insane movie about music I've seen in aeons.

Thank you so very very much. I'll kick a few bucks in the tip jar.

  17. I have only seen "Weekend" on this list and I have to agree with you. I loved this movie because it was full of substance and was a drama that was actually not about AIDS(which a majority of gay dramas I've seen were about since obviously that's the major kind of drama that gay men have...?) or about bullying. It was more of what I wanted Brokeback Mountain to be and Weekend deserves a lot more fame and kudos than it's been given.

Now to see which movies are on Netflix Instant...

  19. really love this list, you are my go to guy for films to watch, I haven't watched a film you've suggested so far and been disappointed :) sound of science was amazing, made me laugh loads, I had to pause your review as soon as I saw that to watch it. Weekend was really good to, a big eye opener for me. still not interested in the artist, not sure if that makes me a moron but I don't really wanna watch, I think the fact thats its pure homage kinda put me off it, like im not gonna experience anything new. If you think otherwise let me know! maybe ill watch it. my only two cents is that I think I would of added rango and melancholia in the list somewhere though :) Would love to see a all time favorite film list :D

  20. Great list, I loved Drive, but your clip is one of the problems I have with it. When he hits the gas to get away from the cops we get this massive engine noise and gear shifts, but he isn't gaining on traffic at all, also later in the movie he is driving in reverse and we hear gear shifts as if the car had multiple reverse gears, anyway I have killed a weekend watching all your reviews, bravo sir

  21. Drive was my number 1. Great list as always!

  22. Ugh, great list except Drive. It's been a while since I've seen it but I can remember thinking there was no character development and no emotional attachment to the characters. It's like the writer/director tried to make us feel something but it was all just skin deep. I hated Drive and I wish I felt more validated by you hating it too!

Man you do so much amazing stuff, have been a subscriber on your youtube channel for a while without watching much but started the YMS: the host or whatever like 18hrs ago and skipped sleep and just plowed through your videos and watched two of the movies in your top lists. But holy fuck this video service fucking sucks, buffers every 30sec or so it's infuriating and almost ruined the video for me. Keep it up though you're fucking hilarious and dare I say smarter than most reviewers
