Even though you surely went to the theater to watch this, it probably ain't wise to be using a DVDSCR for your review purposes. Trailer loops are fine, we're here for your commentary not the interstitial clips. Considering there is only one copy out there (and it has the same black level issues as the footage you're using), I think you may want to make your pirating habits be a little less conspicuous next time.

  2. Do you think he has access to actual DVD screening material from the companies? How else could he give reviews of movies still in theaters without a bootleg copy. If you don't approve of him using pirated copies to do reviews then don't condone him by watching his videos. BtW, way to stand out as a self-righteous ass-hat with the name "Concerned Citizen".

  3. What was the deal with the GoPro footage that they spliced in for like half a second during the barrel scene? It looked so shitty compared to to the rest of the footage. Not sure why they decided to go with it.

  7. Uhmm, use trailer footage and what has been officially released like every other vendor does for reviews of this movie.

  9. In LotR it shows a scene describing the capture of the ring for Saurun. The human who takes the ring begins to call it Precious before he is killed and it slips into the river. Gandalf also repeats the precious line as well, which is what alerts him to the true nature of the ring.
Smaug, like other dragons in Middle Earth, is connected to various magic rings (that is where some of them are, inside of dragons) and may have some knowledge of the ring. He may have "felt" it.

  10. Hey, World Star is pretty good. It's one of my favorite sites on the internet. There's some really funny and clever comments sometimes. OP is neither funny nor clever.
