This is some utter shit. It's typical youtube though, they would rather bend over and take it in the ass from corporations than follow the law.

  4. Youtube has gone fun retard, sorry to hear about that man.

Heres to another hosting site to overtake them.

Also, I'm pretty sure RedLetterMedia used torrented video too in their newest video, hopefully they don't get shit on too.

  6. Dude, wtf. I just discovered your account, seen several videos of yours and a minute later Youtube is like "This account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines and/or claims of copyright infringement."
WTF?! I have seen your videos, you didn't do anything that others haven't done before, AKA doing reviews, kind of humorous even, there's no copyright infringement, everything you did should be covered by Fair Use. WTF?!

  7. No, you don't understand. YouTube is auditioning for the lead role in the upcoming Broadway musical A Giant Bag of Dicks. They just did this so they could use it in their portfolio.

  9. Maybe youtube just hates dealing with fair use.

  11. AngryJoeShow recently made a couple of videos including your account of the recent developments regarding these copyright strikes. He's directed people from his channel to subscribe to you, and rightly so, as I had the chance to view all of your content and found it to be fantastic. Not only is it definitively within the bounds of fair use, but I found your style of analysis to be amazing in terms of detail and accuracy. I'm an amateur screenwriter, and saw a lot of educational value in the work you've done, as well. It was a shame to see this happen, now, having only just found you as a helpful resource, but I'm glad to see your own site is still up and running, and just hope you know that the wider community stands behind you during these unfair, weighty times. Good luck, and thanks for all you've done.

  12. The fact that he used footage from a DVDSCR is going to make his case very, very difficult. Youtube want to keep their major copyright holders happy so it makes sense. There's a good chance the channel will be reinstated but that video removed and you may end up with 1 permanent strike.

  13. YouTube is where Fair Use goes to die.

  14. What's sad is that in no point of the decision to terminate your account was an actual human involved. The content ID system likely just has anything Hobbit related that's not in the trailers set to "PERMABAN GTFO". If you get any response to your e-mail that's not some automated, or canned reply, I'll be shocked.

  15. Fantastic. Just Fantastic.

  17. I can see your youtube right now :S what is going on?

  18. This is because you made a video against their ContentID system and told people how to get around it - so the next infraction they received, they took the opportunity to kill the channel.
